Prometheus synopsis

Prometheus, the prequel to Alien (1979)?
We can see some sources said that 'Prometheus' is the prequel to Scott's 1979 science fiction horror film 'Alien'. However, this is not true. In fact, 'Prometheus' develops a separate story that precedes the events of 'Alien'. Prometheus will explore its own mythology and ideas. 'Prometheus' is not directly connected to 'Alien'.
