YouTube video player's default color is always white. We've seen video players in other colors in many video websites, for example, video players of MTV.com and dailymotion.com are black. Some famous web video players, such as flowplayer and JW FLV player, offer their users the option to change the player skin's color. So, are you tired of the skin of YouTube's video player?
Recently, part of Internet users find that the YouTube player's control bar turns to black while they're watching YouTube videos, just as the above picture shown. This new YouTube player skin features dark colors, such as black and grey. So how do you like the new YouTube player?
Sometimes when you enter some words into the search box in YouTube to search videos, you will find that some of the keywords are crossed out, as the picture shown above.
YouTube doesn't elaborate why this happens. Below are some conclusions that I draw from analytics:
The crossed out words have no search result.
The crossed out words are not related to the search session.
The crossed out words are useless or needless which implies you that do not use those keywords in later search.
This feature is nice. But I don't think it's suitable for Google search, as it's almost impossible to find keywords that have no search result in Google search.
R&B star Chris Brown collaborates with Justin Bieber for the second time to make music video of Brown's latest song "Next to You", which is a single of his fourth studio album "F.A.M.E". "Next 2 You" was first seen online on March 8, 2011. Its music video premiered last on June 17th at VEVO.
"Next to You" music video is also available on YouTube. The video was uploaded to YouTube on June 17 and has managed 8.8 million views. You can watch it from the video below. Colin Tilley directed the music video and filmed it at the Universal Studios in Los Angeles. Brown and Bieber performed everything so well, singing, dancing and acting. We can call it an epic music video. It's not just a video, but also a short movie, as it depicts several events and stories.
"Next to You" music video takes the apocalypse in New York as background. At the beginning of the video, we can see Brown and Brown's girl friend (Shannon Elizabeth), Bieber and his girl friend; they are living happy lives. The girls leave, then the earth begins to tremble, the buildings fall to the ground, and lightning strikes in the gloomy and cloudy sky. Both Brown and Bieber rush onto the street to find their girl friends. Bieber's girl friend is forbidden from meeting Bieber by her father, while Brown's girl friend was trapped in the disaster. Brown and Bieber sing and dance among the ruins showing their desire to meet their loved ones. Then Brown's girl friend is seen hit by a car, upon his arrival to the city, he makes a dramatic jump to save her, and Bieber's girlfriend runs away from her father and finally finds Bieber and shares a kiss with him. Brown lost her girl friend in the car accident.

Well, the song is mixed with styles of Latin house, hip hop and a little of merengue. I admit that I abused the Replay button. I've played "Rabiosa" at least 10 times. It's a song that is irresistible. Well, regarding to the name of the song - "Rabiosa", which is Spanish; in English, it means "Rabid". As mentioned above, the song is available in two languages - English and Spanish. Shakira teams up with Pitbull made the English version. The Spanish version, Shakira made it with El Cata. There are also some Spanish lines in the English version of the song, such as "i want you amarrao aqui" and "Bite me en la boca".
Of course, I like the tune of "Rabiosa", but I like the music video more though Pitbull did not appear in it. Directed by Jaume de Laiguana, the music video of "Rabiosa" was shot from April 26 to April 28, 2011 in Barcelona, Spain. It's a surprise to see Shakira's poll-dancing in the visual. Jesus Christ! She is so sexy! It turns out that Shakira can be so hot! Is she the woman who dances in "Waka Waka"? Yes, she is. She is the angel and the sexy goddess.
The song received favorable reviews. Jennifer Schaffer from Standford Daily prises the song that "One of the best tracks on the album is "Rabiosa," featuring Pitbull's familiar interjections. Previously in this March, Google's subsidiary YouTube acquired video production team Next New Networks to help their partners to create more attractive, high quality and viral videos. It seems that YouTube is very eager to its video quality. According to The New York Times, YouTube makes another move toward some excellent video creators – to teach them the video making skills.
YouTube called up some video partners to New York to teach them some tricks and skills about how to create viral videos. Some tricks are seemingly rather useful, such as don't upload your videos to YouTube on Friday afternoon and contact key bloggers via Email to ask them to post a link to your video. By doing this, video creators can bring out more viral videos and drive higher traffic to YouTube, so that YouTube can earn more money from video advertising, which is the reason why YouTube made this boot camp for their partners.
So far few people can make six figures income a year purely from video making. It's very difficult to directly make big money from video. A good viral video needs several things: good idea, video editing skills and some relevant equipment. So YouTube needs to solve these problems for its video contributors, so that they have the motivation and money to generate more high quality videos.
On June 3, Linkin Park presented us their latest music video for "Iridescent", which is set to be the theme song of the forthcoming film Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Previously, Linkin Park released "Iridescent" as the fourth single in their fourth studio album "A Thousand Sun" on May 27, 2011. Then the song was chosen to be the Transformers 3's theme song.

Joe Hann, who directed the "Iridescent" music video, explained in Linkin Park's official blog that "the video explores how human existence might be affected by the elements of Transformers robots and the threat of the Decepticons."
This is this third time that Linkin Park cooperates with Transformers film series. Previously, Transformers' theme song "What I've Done" and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen's lead soundtrack "New Divide" are all LP's songs. When asked why they chose "Iridescent" for "Dark of the Moon," Mike Shinoda, one of the band's lead vocalists, said the song felt like a good fit.
The 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon" will hit theaters on June 29, 2011. The film's soundtrack will be available in stores on June 14.
