Little Monster's Rejoice! Lady Gaga Born This Way Album Debuts with 1.11 Million Copies

Few artists can sold their albums for more than 1 million copies in the first week. Do you remember the last artist who debuted album with more than 1 million copies? It's Taylor Swift. The country music diva released her third studio album "Speak Now" in 2010 with 1,047,000 copies in its first week. Now Lady Gaga breaks the record with her second studio album "Born This Way", which was released on May 23, 2011. Unexpectedly, Gaga has globally sold 1,108,000 copies of the BTW album in its first week.

It has been six years since the last album debuted with more than Gaga's 1.1 million copies. It was 50 Cent's. The band had sold their hit album "The Massacre" 1.14 million copies in its first week in 2005, which is much closed with Gaga's Born This Way 1.1 million copies.

To promote her album, Lady Gaga made a surprising move – she sold her Born This Way album on Amazon.com for only 0.99 US dollars in the first two day. 440,000 copies of the album were sold at the low price.

With the success of "Born This Way" album, Lady Gaga's influence toward the world culture is being further extended. Lady Gaga is no longer the newbie who just can sang her ‘the fame' songs, but the icon that can influence people's religion and culture. So do you like the old Lady Gaga or the new Lady Gaga?

Rihanna Becomes the Fourth Artist Gathering 1 Billion Views on YouTube

It's hard to image how popular of a person gathering 1 billion views on video sharing site YouTube. It's close to impossible for an ordinary person to reach such a great achievement. However, there have been three persons achieved this in YouTube's history. All of them are pop music artists, including Lady Gaga – the first person achieves this, Justin Bieber as the second one and Eminem the third. Now the fourth one begins to emerge - it's Pop diva Rihanna.

Eminem's 'Love the Way You Lie ft. Rihanna' serves as the most viewed video of the Barbadian R&B singer. The video has been viewed 300 million times so far. In Rihanna's YouTube Channel, we can learn that Rihanna's Total Upload Views is 1,014,701,636 at the present. Social media analyzer Famecount.com has also confirmed this statistics.

Besides the success on YouTube, Rihanna is also the fourth most popular artist on Facebook with almost 26 million fans behind Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga and Eminem. Recently, Rihanna was awarded with Best Dance Recording for 'Only Girl' and Best International Female Solo Artist at the 53rd Grammy Award Ceremony.

Lady Gaga to Sing Duet with YouTube Wonder Maria Aragon at Toronto Concert

It is reported that Mother monster asked the YouTube sensation 10-year-old Maria Aragon to sing duet with her at her Toronto concert next month. Lady Gaga made this requisition on the phone via Winnipeg radio station Hot 103 last Feb. 18. Maria has accepted the offer.

We knew that Lady Gaga released her most recent title track 'Born This Way' on February 11, 2011. The song has quickly climbed to No.1 on iTunes download chart in 22 countries, and No.1 on US Billboard Hot 100. Five days later on February 16,  Born This Way Cover was posted on YouTube. In the cover video, the 10-year-old Canadian girl Maria Aragon sings Gaga's Born This Way with a piano in a very pure and sweet voice. Up to now, the video has been hit approximately 10 million times and has quickly become Internet sensation.


Gaga's friend and celebrity blogger Perez Hilton sent the video to Gaga. Gaga watched the video and deeply touched by Aragon. Gaga then tweeted that "Can't stop crying watching this. This is why I make music. She is the future."

Winnipeg radio station Hot 103 made an interview with Aragon and had Gaga on the phone. On the phone, Gaga said that she'd been having a 'bad day' until she witnessed Aragon's version of Born This Way and became 'overjoyed'. "You have such a beautiful voice and you are a joy to watch," Gaga said that to Maria. Then Gaga invited Maria to duet with her, "Oh maybe you're just gonna have to come onstage (at Toronto concert) with me and sing that song. What do you think?"

Maria excitedly accepted Gaga's offer, saying, with tears in her eyes, "That would be really cool!"

Lady Gaga's full name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta. She was born on March 28, 1986 in New York City. (Surprise! She is even younger than me.) She is the eldest child in her family. Her father is an internet entrepreneur called Joseph Germanotta. Her family was not wealthy, her parents "both came from lower-class families, so we've worked for everything – my mother worked eight to eight out of the house, in telecommunications, and so did my father", Gaga said.

Gaga is talented in music early in her childhood. When she was 4, she learned to play piano. When 13, she had already been able to write her own piano ballad. The next year at her 14, Gaga began performing at open mike nights.

When Gaga was in high school musical, she did not fit in school. A former high school classmate said recalled that "She had a core group of friends; she was a good student. She liked boys a lot, but singing was No. 1".

Gaga then went to New York University with early admission; there she continued her favorite thing – Music. While studying music, she improved her songwriting skills. She felt that she was more creative than her other classmates. By the second semester of her sophomore year, she withdrew from the school to focus on her musical career. "I left my entire family, got the cheapest apartment I could find, and ate shit until somebody would listen," she said.

Then Gaga's vocal abilities were recognized by Akon. Then she released her debut studio album 'The Fame'. Then she became super successful with the two singles in the album – "Just Dance" and "Poker Face", and has been included in Time magazine's annual Time 100 list of the most influential people in the world. Then Gaga becomes 'mother monster', and calls her fans 'little monsters'. In 2011, Lady Gaga is going to release her second studio album 'Born This Way' on May 23. I'm looking forward to it.

'Pale Kid' Tells You How Fast a Man Can Rap

If you are a rap fans, you might have heard a lot of rap songs. Are you surprise that rap stars, such as Eminem, are able to rap so fast? Don't be too surprise, as 'Pale kid' shows that he can rap much faster.


On 17 January, 2011, LA-based performer & writer George Watsky posted a video titled 'Pale kid raps fast' to YouTube. In the video, he shows his super fast rapping. He calls himself 'Pale kid' in the video. In the video, 'Pale kid' rapped more than 300 words in less than 1 minute! The video has quickly become a viral video and suddenly George Watsky become a new 'rap star'. His name was already among YouTube fastest rising searches. As to today, the video has racked up 4 million views on YouTube.
