How to Record Audio Stream with Streaming Audio Recorder

This article will show you how to use Wondershare Streaming Audio Recorder. Follow the steps, you will find it's pretty easy.


Step 1. Download and install Wondershare Streaming Audio Recorder. Once you downloaded the setup program and double clicked to install, there will be a pop-up window coming first to ask you to select the software language. There are two options available at the present: English and French. Select the right one.

After that, the setup will be under installation process. Before the main interface turns up, there will be an information window.

Also, there will be a pop-up window asking you to set the default playback device. Please select the right playback device. By clicking on Test button, you will hear testing sound if the Playback Device was correctly selected.

Shortly after the playback device was selected, there comes the interface of the program:

Step 2. Go to any music sites and start playing the music.


Click on Record button if it's the right one for you. There will be audio spectrum graph on the top right showing there is music being playing:

After about 30 minutes, all the music being played has been recorded. Check the downloaded list:

When you are going to finish the recording, simply click on Stop button.


Also, there are some tips which will help you enjoy the recording:

  • Click on Settings to set the output format and output directory, etc. The default format is MP3.
  • Remember that you need to let the music play through while Streaming Audio Recorder is recording.
  • After recording the music, you may click on Add to button to add the recorded music to iTunes, Windows Media Player, or Winamp. Or, you may edit music's ID3 information, such as title, artist, and album by clicking on Track Info button.
  • When you are playing music, Streaming Audio Recorder will automatically split music one by one while recording. However, you may also split the music by clicking on Cut button.
