According to ComputerWorld.com, Yahoo! Video users have to download their video content from the site or they will be removed. On March 15, Yahoo! Video will remove all video content uploaded previously by its users.
Internet tracker comScore said that Yahoo! Video has been the third-largest video sharing website in the United States since last August. Google owned video site YouTube is on the top spot and in the second place is the world largest social networking site Facebook.
Last December, Yahoo! Inc. announced that the site no longer accept video upload. Fortunately, the video site provides download functionality in users' video profile, helping users to save their content to their computers. (You can also try this Video Downloader to download Yahoo videos.)
"General user upload functionality and user-generated content are being removed from Yahoo Video as focus shifts to our core businesses' future growth," the company stated on its site. "This was a difficult decision to make, but it's part of the ongoing prioritization efforts at Yahoo. We apologize if this causes you any inconvenience."
Yahoo! Video site won't shut down; but it will only contain videos from Yahoo itself and its partners.
