Paws Up! Little Monsters! Our Mama Monster again proves her global popularity.
Few artists can sold their albums for more than 1 million copies in the first week. Do you remember the last artist who debuted album with more than 1 million copies? It's Taylor Swift. The country music diva released her third studio album "Speak Now" in 2010 with 1,047,000 copies in its first week. Now Lady Gaga breaks the record with her second studio album "Born This Way", which was released on May 23, 2011. Unexpectedly, Gaga has globally sold 1,108,000 copies of the BTW album in its first week.
Here's Lady Gaga's Born This Way single music video. You can download it from YouTube with this YouTube Downloader software.
It has been six years since the last album debuted with more than Gaga's 1.1 million copies. It was 50 Cent's. The band had sold their hit album "The Massacre" 1.14 million copies in its first week in 2005, which is much closed with Gaga's Born This Way 1.1 million copies.
To promote her album, Lady Gaga made a surprising move – she sold her Born This Way album on Amazon.com for only 0.99 US dollars in the first two day. 440,000 copies of the album were sold at the low price.
With the success of "Born This Way" album, Lady Gaga's influence toward the world culture is being further extended. Lady Gaga is no longer the newbie who just can sang her ‘the fame' songs, but the icon that can influence people's religion and culture. So do you like the old Lady Gaga or the new Lady Gaga?
A lot of people don't understand Lady Gaga, her songs and her music videos. They just hate Gaga's works. It's obviously that Gaga learns from Madonna. Gaga also confirms it. Besides, Gaga writes her own songs, has added the stylish elements and her own feelings, experience, understanding of life and her talent to her works. She also interact very actively with her fans. Those are why I'm fond of Lady Gaga.
